How can we improve CS-Cart?

Products Options different VAT

Products Options different VAT

Possibility to change VAT in global options (Products-Products-Options) for the products that have different services with different VAT as added value.

In many cases you want the product to have an added value through service.

this good idea eg: in france we have 2 tva 5.5 and 20.6 and the taxe is only for product .. no for shipping ...

Wouldnt it make sense instead to add a option that allows you to link choosable products to a specific product? And those products can be hidden from your store. So when a user buys that product and click e.g. "Installation service" - he has two products in his cart which each can have its own VAT!?

Never mind differing products ...... the Eu is now 27 countries .... with you guessed it 27 different vat rates.

maybe OC should launch the "what were you on when you thought that up" campaign for EU vat.

Currently, VAT is charged at the rate operated by the country the merchant operates from.

Because various companies setup shop in low vat rate countries, from 2015, legally for a business to consumer sale every business will have to charge VAT at the rate levied by the customers home country.

I don't see OC being able to fix this anytime soon - its a big fix to do / maintain. It doesn't apply to business to business sales - is there any way I can make OC state that only B2B sales are valid for international sales within the EU.

I agree 100%. However, please create such an option in 2 places: Product Options & Product Combinations.
Product Combinations: that is the current location of the SKU code. And it is the SKU code is (in the ERP world) where VAT codes are linked to.

Product Options: in those cases where there is only one Option per Product, it would be much easier to be able to enter VAT codes here. Instead of having to create dummy Product Combinations just to be able to enter SKU and VAT codes

I have similar problems and in the past I have worked very much to change the invoice

You have right. The vat options is the same with product and in many case must be different.

This change is absolutely necessary because in the invoice all options are assimilated
    with the same VAT.
