If a product has many options, and the first one is out of stock, then when the customer first goes to the page, they will simply see out of stock and might not realize that another option might be in stock. It would be much better for the first option that was in stock to be selected by default.

It would be very helpful to be able to initiate refunds from the admin orders screen. This would track the refund and update the totals for easier record keeping. cubecart does this and it was really helpful (though cs cart is FAR superior in most every other way)

Many of my customers are asking the possibility to add 2 or more items of the same type when using the Product Configurator (to buy 2 same hard disk, 2 vga's etc), but this feature it's compeletely missing and it's very bad for my business. I would like to see it as one of the next features.

This is really a cool feature I used to have in a Prestashop store. People can refer their friends, and they earn money and/or promotions in your store. Everything is handled like an affiliate program but it's straight forward. More details here:

Many companies have developed the plugins already, you could work out deals with these companies to purchase their code and support international payment systems - especially for latin american countries and Brazil.

What about to create a software to control the database configuration ( create categories, items, etc...) of our shops and also helps to upgrade our shops when needed? I think it will be better to do it by an instalable software than a web backend.

Many of my customers like to log in daily just to get a quick idea of how their site is doing. They all have slightly different ideas of what should be on the dashboard. (After upgrading to 2.2.1 one of my clients was very upset that the declined orders no longer showed up in the dashboard, another was upset that the YTD totals disappeared) It would be nice to have some simple admin settings so they can customize the main statistics just a wee bit to show what they want to see time-wise and order-wise.

in the multivendor version, there is no communication area between admin and vendor back office.
Vendors can't find the admin email or phone number.

It is very weird that nobody has thought about this. How vendors can contact admin if they have any question? No form, no email, no phone number.

CS-Cart needs to add the canonical link tag to the default install of the cart instead of forcing users to rely on a 3rd party for such basic seo functionality.
