I suggest you ...

Fix the bugs in Quickbooks.

If CS is not going to fix the bugs with the exporting file for Quickbooks then they should discontinue the mod.

Here are just a few of the ways the CS export is messed up:
1) Your export still deletes the "cost"
2) It still changes the item description when it should NOT.
3) It still deletes the "preferred vendor"
4) It still changes the default account

If they are not going to fix this Quickbooks then they should remove it and stop screwing up their customers accounting program.

After all these years, it is the least they should do. It is obvious they are not going to make it function properly.

I'm sorry, but this is very frustrating that so many companies CAN get the import function of Quickbooks to work correctly and CS still has not gotten it right.

Currently we use WriteItOnce which works wonderful. There are other programs out there so there should be no reason CS can't fix this or just give it up.

Do what? Why do you send us to Uservoice when we use the forums and now you send us to the forum when we use Uservoice?

I agree with Jim. CS-Cart should do more than just listen to user voice! Look at the competition and think for your selves. Just imagine if Steve Jobs would have only created products that people voted on in user voice. People wouldn't have even known what to vote for. CS-Cart should innovate!

Since CS is basing what they fix on how many people "vote" for it here on uservoice, I am sorry to say that we have given up on them ever fixing it. Since this is a bug it should be fixed and it should not have to be voted on to be fixed.

This issue alone has made me pretty much disregard anything CS-Cart does on uservoice. Again, for anyone to have to post the fix of a bug as a suggestion of something that should be added is just crazy.

This is a major issue to us. We have 3 sites that we are planning to update with new cart software, and we really like MOST of what CS Cart has to offer. However, we probably wouldn't have spent so much time going through a trial install and customizing it to make sure it met our other needs had we known that this ADVERTISED functionality actually doesn't work. I mean, it's not just flawed, it literally doesn't work at all. After having spent close to 200 hours working with the trial install, it's quite a disappointment to find this out.

I am just now (Oct 2011) configuring CS and I also was attracted by the QB import feature. Definitely it should be made to function properly and seamlessly IMHO.

Donnie: lol... How on earth do you even customise the chart of accounts... LOL... I know how you feel, and it's really depressing purchasing several licences and finding that CS-Cart's response is "Pay $$ for us to fix it for current version. Pay more $$ for each update to CS-Cart..."

        :(

Having purchased CS-Cart Professional x 3 for three web sites, we were attracted by the "Quickbooks Integration" advertised in the features.

However the is NO integration! It's simply "Mapping" fields with an IIF file!
There are plenty of other QUICKBOOKS FILE FORMATS for import/export that can be used for sending Orders / Invoices / Customers / Products to and from the QuickBooks installation!

WE NEED what INTERSPIRE SHOPPING CART uses for QuickBooks integration. It's a Brilliant solution, and works flawlessly for all the customers we've set it up for!

Please update and fix the QuickBooks addon CS-Cart!
        :(

I've been working in the CS-Cart provided iif file for the QuickBooks export all week and every fix I make leads to another problem.
Sales Tax must come last in the import, multiple sales tax line items are not supported by QuickBooks, the default iif template doesn't support flagging individual products as taxable (even though the store does), the COG is overwritten with each import with a zero amount, the product name is overwritten with each import, product options are not supported.
There really should be more data in the QuickBooks Add-on config screen for other values QB requires in the import.
It's been a lot of work just to get Sales Tax into the Chart of Accounts where it belongs.

IF THE EXISTING FEATURE DOES NOT WORK, THEN WHY DO WE HAVE TO VOTE TO FIX IT? CS-CART IS GREAT, BUT FAULTY FEATURES LIKE THIS MAKE IT DISSAPOINTING AND UNATTRACTIVE!

IMPROVE CS-CART'S REPUTATION, AND MAKE IT THE BEST! COMPETE WITH OTHER SHOPPING CARTS THAT SUPPORT THESE FEATURES! DO NOT BE LEFT BEHIND! :)

PLEASE FIX THE EXISTING FEATURE IN CS-CART, SO AS TO BETTER HANDLE, MAP FIELDS, AND SUPPORT *.IIF FILES! (OR ANY OTHER SUPPORTED QUICKBOOKS FORMAT)!

THIRD PARTY SOLUTIONS ARE CHARGING $200 SETUP + $40 PER MONTH! ALTERNATIVES???

COULD YOU PLEASE HAVE THIS WORKING WITHIN THE NEXT VERSION? (OR AT LEAST SOME UPDATES TO THE MODULE?).

        THANK YOU!
        :)

        SYNCRONISE DATA WITH QUICKBOOKS:
        - SUPPORT FOR PRODUCTS + PRODUCT OPTIONS + COMBINATIONS,
        - SUPPORT FOR MOVING A COMBINATION -> EXCEPTIONS (OUT OF STOCK),
        - AVOID THE NEED FOR A SSL CERTIFICATE TO BE INSTALLED ON CS-CART WEB-HOSTING SERVER, WITH QB (VIA DIRECT QUICKBOOKS SYNC (HTTP/ETC) WITH CS-CART (SIMILAR TO INTERSPIRE)).

        THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

I would like to see more then a fix, I would like to see a full integration. Why should we have to use a 3rd party solution to use quickbooks with CS Cart

      • JimJim commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

Isn't this sort of ironic? CS-Cart admin wants to put so much emphasis on this "uservoice" in order to "add" things to their shopping cart. Why in the world should we have to vote to have them either fix or remove a BROKEN part of their shopping cart!?

The Quickbooks mod does not work correct and you are screwing up the accounting system of users! Why should we have to "vote" in order to get you to FIX this bug?

      • JimJim commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

It appears that if CS-Cart did their export correctly they would not touch the "cost" or any of the other fields. They should not be editing any of the items at all. This is their biggest mistake and what makes their export file a nightmare...just ask any accountant.

      • pdivipdivi commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

There is no cost field in CS-cart. This should be a prerequisite to a proper QB export.
